Over the past few months, I got three so-called “tentative” job offers from different agencies, only for them to all fall apart last week with infuriating emails from HR: 1. **First Agency (Stuck in Limbo):** They had the nerve to email me, saying, “Due to an ongoing freeze, we’re stuck and can’t move forward with screening or onboarding. Sit tight until we figure it out.” Are you kidding me? 2. **Second Agency (Teasing with Clearance):** I finally got provisional clearance, and then, bam! HR hits me with, “We’re ‘reviewing staffing needs’ and can’t set a start date until we get more guidance.” What a load of garbage! 3. **Third Agency (Straight-Up Betrayal):** Today was the final straw: “Sorry, we’re pulling your job offer. We tried to get a waiver to bring you on, but it got shot down.” Unbelievable! Why even bother with government jobs? The hassle of interviews, endless paperwork, and investigation meetings is maddening, and for what? Nothing! I’m sick of it and heading back to the private sector, even if the market’s a mess.

Both those statements there tell me that you still have a shot. Just have to be patient.
I applied for a job back to early this year, and I'm still waiting to see the results of it. I have some POC to hopefully land the job when all this is over, but you just have to be resilient during this time.

I am fairly optimistic that we will see some changes in a couple months. I know, it's long and dragged out right now, but seriously continue waiting! And I hope you're safe mentally.
