The General Services Administration (GSA) has partnered with Uber through a rideshare blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to reduce travel costs and modernize transportation for federal employees, military personnel, and select government contractors. Awarded under GSA’s OneGov initiative, the agreement leverages federal buying power to secure cost-effective solutions. Building on a previous 2020 BPA with Uber and Lyft, the new single-award BPA, valued up to $75 million, enhances services, offering global access in over 15,000 cities across 70 countries via Uber for Business. This platform provides backend visibility for agencies to track expenses and ensures compliance. The agreement supports mission-specific needs, such as disaster relief, and includes high-capacity vehicles for group transport. Contractors with approval can also access these benefits. The partnership aims to streamline services, reduce duplication, and enhance the federal workplace experience.
