Hello everyone!
As federal employees, we dedicate our careers to serving the public, and here’s another way to make a meaningful impact—donating blood! Blood drives are a fantastic opportunity to give back, support those in need, and strengthen our community.
Why Donate?
- Save Lives: A single donation can save up to three lives, helping patients in emergencies, surgeries, or with chronic conditions.
- Quick and Easy: The process takes about an hour, with the actual donation only lasting 8-10 minutes.
- Feel Good: Giving blood is a rewarding way to contribute to the greater good while representing the spirit of federal service.
How to Get Involved
- Find a Blood Drive: Check with your agency’s wellness program or visit the American Red Cross website to locate nearby drives.
- Schedule an Appointment: Many locations allow you to book a slot online for convenience.
- Prepare: Eat a healthy meal, stay hydrated, and bring a valid ID. Federal employees may even qualify for administrative leave for donating—check with your HR!
