Dina Titus, D-Nev., and 26 other House members called on Energy Secretary Chris Wright and NNSA Administrator Brandon Williams to end the furloughs for nearly 80% (approximately 1,400) of the National Nuclear Security Administration's personnel. Titus expressed deep concern that these furloughs, initiated due to the government shutdown, undermine nuclear security oversight and could be politically motivated, as NNSA workers have not been furloughed in previous shutdowns.
